Nutrition & Guidance For This Season of Life
Functional nutrition coaching for those in midlife and beyond who want to lose weight, have more energy, improve their cholesterol, blood sugar, and other health markers, and gain the confidence to care for their bodies in a way that supports lasting health.
What Do I Need Now?
“The only constant is change.”
It’s such a cliché, but it holds up. As we go through midlife and beyond, the major life transitions keep on coming.
Hormones shift. Aging parents can create new, complex responsibilities and relationship dynamics. Children become more independent, and eventually leave home. Retirement starts to feel less like a dollar amount on a statement and more like something that’s actually approaching. Perhaps, for the first time in years, more time and space begin to appear on the horizon.
Somewhere along this road, you realize your body started playing by a new set of rules.
The weight is creeping up and being stubborn about it. You’re waking up at 2 a.m. for no reason. Your energy is waning. Your cholesterol, blood sugar, or blood pressure numbers are occupying more brain space than you ever thought they would.
As you find yourself at the intersection of this season of life and the changes happening in your body, perhaps you’re feeling the gentle tug of a simple question: “What Do I Need Now?”
“Somewhere along this road, you realize your body started playing by a new set of rules.”
Does This Sound Like You?
Life got busy. You were raising kids, building a career, showing up for the people you love, and doing all the things. Somewhere along the way, your own health quietly slipped down the priority list.

You’re tired of avoiding certain clothes or hiding in the back of photos. You want to feel strong, confident, and comfortable in your body again.

You don’t want to spend your afternoons running on caffeine. You want the energy to travel, play with the kids, work in the garden, or just enjoy your day.
You wonder what your rising cholesterol, blood pressure, or blood sugar mean for the years ahead. You want to move toward a long, healthy, active life.

You don’t want to start over again every other Monday. You want healthy living to feel simple, satisfying, and doable enough to anchor everyday life.

You’re not trying to be twenty-five again. But you want to feel strong, capable, and confident that your best years could still be ahead of you.
You haven’t failed.
If you’ve tried diet after diet without meaningful, lasting results, it’s easy to start believing the problem is you.
It isn’t.
The truth is, your body changes over time. Hormones shift. Blood sugar becomes less forgiving. Sleep becomes harder. Stress accumulates. The strategies that worked ten or twenty years ago often don’t work the same way anymore.
That’s why another quick fix rarely works. And neither does brute force. You can’t bully your body into better health.
In this season of life the body requires gentler, more thoughtful support.
The Not-So-Sexy Basics
The work we’ll do together is not trendy, groundbreaking, or magical. It’s foundational.
It’s stuff like chewing your food properly…the dumb stuff people gloss over because it doesn’t feel revolutionary enough to matter.
But the truth is, doing the dumb stuff consistently is where the magic is.
I see this all the time.
Our brains tell us that our bodies and their problems must require complex solutions. But the most effective approach is starting with a strong foundation. You know…the whole “don’t build your house on sand” thing.
Time and again, I see people make major strides simply by getting the basics right.
Once we’ve built that foundation, we can see what still rises to the surface—if anything. Only then do we decide whether more targeted work is needed.
The basics aren’t sexy.
But they’re often the very things that align with how your body was designed to work. And that’s where lasting results come from.
“Out of the hundreds of health tips you’ve heard over the years, you probably don’t need all of them.
You just need the right ones, in the right order, for your body.”
The Foundation
When I talk about building a strong foundation, I’m talking about three key areas that have the greatest influence on nearly every aspect of your health.
Rather than chasing symptoms one by one, we strengthen these foundational systems first. As they become healthier, positive changes often ripple throughout the body—helping many people experience better energy, healthier weight, improved sleep, and more encouraging lab work.
And if losing weight is one of your goals, we’ll absolutely work toward it. We simply won’t chase weight at the expense of your health. Instead, we’ll focus on improving the health of your body so it can become healthier—and often leaner—at the same time.

Balanced Blood Sugar
Blood sugar isn’t just about diabetes.
It influences your energy, cravings, mood, hormones, metabolism, inflammation, and long-term health. When blood sugar is more stable, people often feel better throughout the day—and their bodies become better equipped to heal.

Regulated Nervous System
Your body heals best when it feels safe.
Chronic stress keeps the body in a constant state of “survival mode,” making it harder to sleep, recover, digest food, regulate hormones, and maintain healthy blood sugar. Building a more resilient nervous system creates the conditions your body needs to heal.

Optimized Digestion
Your body can only use the nutrients it can absorb.
Healthy digestion isn’t just avoiding stomach problems. It’s how your body turns food into the building blocks needed for energy, hormones, muscles, immune function, and repair. When digestion improves, every system improves.
Kind Words
For years I felt like I was chasing one health problem after another without making real progress. Working with Megan helped me finally understand how everything fit together. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, I had a clear plan that made sense for me. This was the first time someone actually connected the dots.

Why This Work Matters To Me
I know what it’s like to have health issues and feel the worry that simmers below the surface.
I know what it’s like to wonder if you’re missing something while feeling overwhelmed by all the conflicting information.
And I know what it’s like to feel like you’re doing everything right, yet nothing seems to change.
But my life and my health changed when I learned how the body actually works. I stopped chasing one symptom after another because I realized they weren’t isolated problems. They were connected to a deeper imbalance.
Today, helping other people connect those same dots is one of the greatest joys of my work.
Let’s have a conversation.
A Discovery Call is simply a chance for me to get to know you.
We’ll talk about your health history, your goals, what’s been standing in your way, and where you’d like your health to be.
By the end of our conversation, you’ll have greater clarity about what’s driving your health concerns and whether we’re the right fit to work together.
